The service is operated by Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy, Unit 3, Fenit Without, Fenit, Co. Kerry, V92 KA46, Ireland. The platform for this service is hosted by Kara Connect ehf. and/or Writeup which is a data processing agent (see terms of use of Kara Connect here and Writeupp here).

Special terms of use for Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy.
The user acknowledges that, by agreeing to these terms, the user is giving his/her/their declared consent to the processing of personal data. Personal data is data which can be connected to the individual. Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy collects and processes the following personal data which can be connected to you:
Information about you includes the following information:
• Name
• Email address
• Address
• Phone number
• Next of kin contact name and phone number
• Doctor/General Practitioner/Specialist Consultant name and phone number
Payment information
Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy does not store payment card information.
The card information that is entered into the software is hosted by the Stripe payment platform.
Handling of personal data
Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy uses your personal data solely for the purpose of making a contract with you regarding the provision of counselling and psychotherapy.
Records are kept for a maximum of seven years after therapy ends in line with professional and insurance obligations.
Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy uses Kara and Writeupp to collect and store personal data. Personal identification information and other data are encrypted in the database with a 256-bit encryption code. All communications between clients and specialists within Kara and Writeupp are encrypted with SSL/TLS protocols.
Purpose and authorisation to process personal data
The purpose of processing personal data and the authorisation to process it are as follows:
• The processing of information regarding passwords and email addresses is necessary to enable clients to have appropriate access to specialists, as well as to be able to contact them, issue invoices or follow their treatment.
The authorisation is the consent of the registered person, which allows for the processing of the personal data for one or more specific purposes.
• The processing of health data is necessary to register information regarding the treatment and the progress of the treatment. The authorisation is the consent of the registered person, which allows for the processing of the personal data for one or more specific purposes. Providers of healthcare services are also obliged to keep medical records and the processing is therefore necessary to fulfil the legal obligations of those who determine the processing (guarantors).
• The processing of the payment information is necessary to enable clients to pay for the services of Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy if and when applicable. The authorisation is the consent of the registered person, which allows for the processing of the personal data for one or more specific purposes.
Terms for payments and cancellations
Payments are made after each consultation and the cost of the consultation is debited from the credit or debit card that was given at the moment of registration. Clients receive a receipt for their payment through the client dashboard on Kara’s website or in the case of Writeupp, directly to your email address.
If the client/patient fails to attend at the booked time, the following rules apply:
• Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee of the full session (€75).
• If you do not attend a scheduled session without prior notice (a "no-show"), you will be charged the full session fee/session credit provided by your employer.
• All requests for cancellations and/or rescheduling must be sent to info@pdpsychotherapy.ie
Many trade unions contribute to the cost of the service that is provided by Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy. Receipts for the trade unions are to be found in the client dashboard of Kara Connect.
Payment method
Payments can be made by credit or debit card through Kara Connect if that is how you have booked or if directly with Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy, a payment link will be provided on your invoice sent in advance of the session. Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy has access to the payment information of the buyer.
A receipt can be found in the client dashboard on Kara and this can be forwarded to trade unions for their contribution to the cost, since some trade unions support their members when applying for the service provided.
Price
All prices are denominated in Euros and prices and information on the services are posted with advance notice with a proviso regarding typographical errors. We reserve ourselves the right to change prices without notice.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for remembering to attend consultations at the booked time in your client dashboard on karaconnect.com or when the booking has been made directly with Pauline Dennigan Psychotherapy.
You are also responsible for ensuring that you have privacy when you are in consultation with your therapist through video-conferencing equipment and that your internet connection and hardware are good enough.
